Privacy policy

This policy covers Pancake Panic and the theebgames.com website (Theeb Games was previously called Ghaf Studio, and ghafstudio.com now redirects here). The short version: we don't collect any personal information about you or your child. We only count, anonymously, how often the game is played.

What the game stores

Pancake Panic saves your child's progress, such as their pancake tower, unlocked outfits and sound settings, on your own device using the browser's local storage. This information never leaves the device. Clearing your browser's site data, or removing the game from your home screen, deletes it.

Anonymous play counts

To understand whether people enjoy the game, the website and the browser version of Pancake Panic send a few anonymous signals to our own server: that the home page was visited, that a game was started or finished, which cook was chosen, which outfit was unlocked, the height of the pancake tower, and whether this is the device's first day playing or a return visit. That last part is worked out on the device itself; only the words "new" or "returning" are sent.

Our hosting provider tells us the approximate country and city the signal came from. We store that together with the date and the signal itself, and nothing else. We don't store IP addresses, and there are no cookies, device identifiers or anything that links one signal to another, so the counts can't be traced back to a person or a device. When we look at the numbers, a city only appears once at least five players come from it.

These counts are kept on our own website and are not shared with any other company. The App Store version of the game, when it is released, does not send them.

What we don't do

• We don't ask for names, email addresses, ages, photos or any other personal information.
• We don't use accounts, logins, cookies, third-party analytics, tracking or advertising of any kind.
• We don't sell anything inside the game.
• We don't share or sell information with anyone.

Hosting

The website and game are served by our hosting provider, Netlify. Like any web server, it processes standard technical information, such as an IP address, in order to deliver the pages to your device. We don't store IP addresses or use this information to identify or track anyone. Fonts and images are served from our own site, not from third parties.

If you contact us by email, we'll use your message only to reply to you, and we won't add you to any mailing list.
